Ask me to take a picture of any aspect of my life that you're interested in - it can be anything from the house I live in to my favorite shoes. Leave your choice here as a comment, and I will reciprocate by taking the pictures and posting them as an LJ entry. That way you get to know a little bit about my life, if you're remotely interested in it.

To whom this may concern,
I don't really know how to tell you this, but (1) our affair is over. I think I realized it (2) last year (3) in your closet and I saw you (4)sit on (5)Manchester United's goalkeeper. I'm sure you're (6) man enough to understand (7) how awful I've felt. I'm returning (8) your ring to you, but I'll keep (9) the results of your blood sample as a memory. You should also know that I (10)never openly mocked (11) the Oprah Winfrey imitaions.
(12) Greetings to your freaky family
( this is how you do itCollapse )
♥Step One: Make a post to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 GEEKY holiday wishes; the wishes can be anything at all, from simple ("I want a fanfic!") to medium ("I want toys!") to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or the MaccaBee, or your secret special friend) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
♥Step Two: Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part: If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not; it's your call! There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... Wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special...
Hope everyone out there in LJ land is doing well and will have a great holiday season :)
I am going to be running a 5k (well, try to run cause I'm still out of shape). I created a page on my new favorite website crowdrise.com to help raise money for the Gesundheit Institute when I run. I have been a huge fan of what Patch Adams has been doing for years and I want to raise money for the free care clinic he's building and to raise awareness about what he does. For those of you who want more information on what he's been up to, check out his site www.patchadams.org to learn about the building updates and his clowning trips (yes, clowning!).
Here's the link to donate, if you feel so inclined after learning about Patch Adams. www.crowdrise.com/gesundheit
Thanks a bunch, I will greatly appreciate any help. Even if you can't spare $$, if you can spread the word, I would love it!
